A Microcement floor or polished concrete? Microcement has the advantage of not requiring expansion gaps, its flexible and therefore seamless and continuous. And this project is a fantastic example of how the floor can continue seamlessly into an outdoor patio area.

 

Note that outdoor environments exposed to a lot of rain and falling vegetation aren't suitable for Microcement. And like wooden flooring, care needs to be taken to avoid scratching this floor treatment (eg. felt stoppers on the feet of furniture). But once Microcement is applied its easy to reapply top coats years later, and with the added option of over 30 different colours available.
